Canine Cancer Concerns

We have all heard that you should not use plastic containers in microwave or cover your food in the microwave with plastic wrap. There are numerous warnings about freezing plastic bottles such as water bottles too. But have you heard no to drink bottled water that has been left in a car?

It is said that the heat reacts with the chemicals in the plastic of the bottle which releases dioxin into the water. Dioxin is a chemical which causes cancer, this toxin is being increasingly found in breast cancer tissue. So please be careful and do not drink bottled water that has

That being said, if heat reacts to plastic and plastic release cancer causing toxins. And humans are being warned about the possible health risks. And your dog(s) are in the car, what the heck is your dogs water in????? If you are uncertain and are taking precautions with yourself, PLEASE change my water source too... To tell you the truth Mom and I JUST took this into considerations ourselves. So we are now on the hut for an appropriate water holder...

If you have any suggestions please post. There is so much canine cancer out there too... I just suggesting that if you are playing it safe, please do so for me too...

  2. Hi Emma,
you are soooo smart! My Buddy has been fighting cancer for over a year and I have worked hard to get every bit of his life safer. I carry his FILTERED water in a Platypus bottle. They are BPA free and collapse down flat when empty which is cool. They have some with tubes for hydration which would be great for your Mom on a ride too! You can learn more about them at:

and you can buy them at places like REI.
Thanks for thinking of the dogs fighting Canine Cancer, You ROCK!
