I am really not a dog!

I have had maybe ? seven days in my whole life where I had nothing to do. Where my humans where not home or available to meet my every need. Maybe ? seven days in my whole life. One time Mom was in the hospital for 5 days but Dad came home twice a day to see me. And I think once they left me here alone all day I don't remember why. Then there was today... I don't know what was going on but Mom had stuff EVERYWHERE and she looked well... sort of panicked and she stepped over me a few times! OVER ME! ME! What the ? and then she shot out of here like her hair was on fire. Dad didn't come home for three hour! It was a weird day. It was a day where I wasn't the center of every moments attention. It was a day where I was alone. It was the type of day you would experience if you were a ? ... canine!?

Like I said I have maybe ? only had seven days in my whole life where I had nothing to do and all I have to say is, "I am glad I am really not a dog." :-)

It's all in our heads

So today Mom and I were in the car sitting patiently in the driveway of a gas station in the ready to exit position. The cars in the first lane were at a stop due to the light. Then car two inched up as close as possible to car one, anxiously starting back and forth at us as if it were one for all race for second position. Mom and I just sat there.

We weren't going to go anywhere so we sat there while she rubbed my head and then all of a sudden, "honkkkkkkk" a car screamed. We looked up and there was car three, completely inpatient, constantly looking at us like we weren't in enough of a hurry to take the now mile long space she was offering.

Mom noticed. One person did the wrong thing or a mean thing at least, and one person try to attempt a nice move. However both people were in the same head.

Dogs, unfortunately suffer from this too. See tell me to sit and stay and I am find. Have my Mom leave the room and I look good on the outside but on the inside "I'm Panicking!" It all in our heads too.

I don't think actions speak louder than words: I think it's all in our heads. Don't aim for perfection just be aware and they aiming for more often then not, they could be a great improvement for many. I am not perfect either I suffer from the same internal chatterm however my episode seam to few and far between in comparsion to your kind. So I suggest, when your listening to your head you stop and put your dog, it may give you a different perspective and allow you sit where you are in peace.

Sleep Overs

It has been at least a week since I have written and how much we have to share. A family member came over to visit at least a week ago and she is still here. Now I am pretty sure that it is no different for us canines as it is for you human.

There is the greeting period.

The "how fun to have someone to share everything with" period.

The "okay I have stuff to do get your own life" period.

The "showing off by demanding all of Mom's attention" period.

The "good Lord, your still here?" period.

Why is it that when they are not with us, we get all excited to see them come? And after awhile we get all excited to see them leave? And when they are gone we will be all excited to see them return?

What is the trick to being happy with the now. Heck, I thought us dogs were suppose to be good at that? All I can see now, is yellow. We even sleep together.

I shall do as you humans must have to do, I will give recognition only to the good.

THIS IS SHAINA AND WE ARE ENJOYING AN EARLY EVENING NAP IN THE OFFICE. LIFE IS GOOD!

Be Still

My human remember Granny (in picture) telling her that if she ever needed more hours in her day: to slow down.

Now I know that may sound like funny advice if your runnin around like a chicken with no head but today I learned the truth in that.

My human also as a friend, Mary who told a story one time of her son who ran in yelling and screaming about everything he had going on in his head and how he had to "hurry up" and get some of it done so he could give his brain a rest. Mary told him to stop, sit and breath.

Be still.

This seams to be the advice of both. Today I sat for hours at the Senior Center where Granny lives. And everyone came and sat with me one person at a time. I had so much fun, so many laughs, heard so much advice, had moments of silences. Today was long, beautiful and fun. I was only there 2 in a half hours.

May you fill your busy life with moments of stillness... May you be happier, healthier and optain more beauty!

A Life Question is Answered....

Did you know that we are not afraid of anything. We just have no knowledge or experience of whatever it is we think we are afraid of.

So I listened to the noise it made first. Then I listen to my humans who said I would be okay. I sat on it with out it moving or being turned on. Then when I got comfortable I even eat some cheese on it before we went up...

After I knew the in's and out's, I wasn't afraid of the up's and down's!

WOW.. Now that is a statement, there it is out of the mouth's of canines: Life's Answer to How to overcome your fears?

502

Tonight it is late but a daily post needs a daily post. And that is exactly what today's blog is about. Knowing what is what. My humans still deals with maintaining her fences and staying on her side of them. While I have 502 hits on my new you tube video.
Now I know to you it sounds like I jumped from one subject to another. But I did not. 502, It is a memory for my human, 502 represents something else to her. It has meaning to my human that originated from something in her past.
And that is why people jump fences. Because they seam to have 502 excuses for their actions.
So, stick your convection's, and don't let what others say change your opinion of yourself or your actions. And retrain your thinking, even if you have to fake it until you make it... Say "502 are video hits, 502 are video hits, 502 are video hits" (or whatever your trouble is, rename it.) Someday someone will ask you for 502 something and you'll say, "what? videos...)
I guess I am sensitive to that which my humans needs so that is why I write of a human emotion today.
If you need a lesson from a dog, well sorry, in this case we are much like you. I was at dog park today and I chased two dogs trying to play with them. I thought each of them looked like (so they must have been) old friends of mine. Then I got up their and took a sniff and found out I was wrong. I spent the rest of the night playing with them saying "new friend, new friend"
So you are not weird or alone or different. We are all the same. We can all learn. We can all change.
